When Bush Rat was setting trail in Allegheny National Park for the 2004 edition, he realized that setting this great trail would be a lot easier closer to home. He had a great home group in H5, and knew he would great support from the other groups. So Harrisburg-Hershey became the lead group for 2006, and Bush Rat, Chappy, Doodle, Tour, Sister, Fuzz took their Stinko skills to new heights. Starting Friday night Miss Libertities and Tour showed us a great Jocks (Harriettes) and Cheer Leaders (Harriers) theme (see the pictures). Then onto Stinko Camp for the sounds of Honeypump. Saturday was the typical late start (hangovers), Moon, Spermit and Too Loose set one trail and Everyday and Fart Conner the other. Both met at a pavilion within sight of the infamous Three Mile Island cooling towers, to enjoy a low country boil made by RadR, Slim Jim, and Chappy. Back to the hotel before a Tye Die Ball at Stinko Camp, Bubba, Miss PA Interhash, and Death Wishes buffet. Not to be outdone Everyday set a great fat boys run from the hotel on Sunday morning before it was time for everyone to go home. The comments below show reflections and that a good time was had by all.
Thanks to all that sent pictures, I knew I was somewhere last weekend,
wasn't sure where, but seeing myself in a couple of the pictures, it all
came back to me. (Note: considering the number of guests, the thank you
posts were few; Some folks' mothers never taught them about Thank You cards.
In the old days of hashing. Never mind)
Thanks to:
-J-walker for his hard work, organizational skills and kick-ass attitude
-Tour for his band's party-on, covers-only, dance dance, short breaks music.
After late partying on Friday, tough Saturday trails and a 2 hour rest
period(big mistake) from 7 to 9, the hashers arrived at the Saturday
campground looking like the living dead. Tough audience, but he pulled it
off.
-Death Wish for cooking some great hash food. A minimum of fruits and
vegetables with emphasis on fat and salt (e.g.; wings, dogs, roast beast) I
don't go to the hash to eat health food.
-All the others who worked to make this a great weekend.
Ten(10) best moments;
- Ms. PA Interhash contest. No losers, but one winner, Sticky Buns.Watching
this lady dance is an erotic experience.
-NO SHIRTS! The campchair idea was inspired.
-Ball Buster of a Turkey Trail. It was all about the hills. Three miles
horizontally and 3 miles up and down.
-Flicker trying, unsuccesfully, to keep me from falling into the river and
banging up my leg (Note: one of my few hash injuries that didn't happen on
the dance floor.)
-Doing trail with two pregnant bimbos, Twatever and Chapped Lips'
daughter(Sorry, forgot her name)
-Just Patti for quickly denouncing her introduction as a hasher from Rumson.
-Emu, the Aussie, declaring that this Interhash is as good as it gets
-The Willie Nelson Look-Alike Contest, won by Rumson's own, IRA.
-And 2 other things.
mr. jackson
I wanted to thank everyone that put together PAIH-06. What a great
event. Good beer, food, music and people. I thoroughly enjoyed
working with Too Loose and Spermit on the Saturday trail and
especially thank Mr Jackson for falling in the creek. Thank you
Deathwish for the accommodations, Doodle for run coordination, EO and
Bubbles for the photos and the Saturday trail bus riders for keeping
Kathy the bus driver company. EO and Tour sorry I couldn't run your
trail as well. Hate to miss a good one. I especially thank my mom for
letting me go. Moon
I could never say it better than you Moon, ditto for me. And thanks for
reminding me about Mr. Jackson falling in the water! Fluff
The pieces I remember of PAIH were a lot of fun. Great party
Harrisburg! - Steamer
The weekend was totally awesome as usual. Great beer, great food,
great beer, great trails, great beer, great parties, great beer, great
people and great beer. Thanks a million. Here's a few more pictures of
the weekend from my warped perspective.
Thanks again,
